1) A FAVORITE BLOG/INSTAGRAM: Health & Wellness Category
I am a firm believer if we surround ourselves with others that make positive lifestyle decisions, including social media and the web influences, then we will be motivated to follow the way of life we seek.
Rachel Good Eats
One account I religiously follow is Racheel DeVaux of RACHAEL GOOD EATS. In her words, “I’m a lover of all things health and wellness. I’m currently living my dream as a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer sharing my tips and tricks for a healthy lifestyle…My goal is to give people the tools they need in order to build healthy habits and to ultimately live a balanced lifestyle. Creating a positive environment around food, learning to think about ingredients and where they come from, and being mindful of what your body needs are just a few of the topics I hope to encourage through my page."

Remember our separate interviews last year featuring the creative director behind the rebranding of Dover, Sandra Ranke, and an instrumental part of her team for the project, high fashion and equestrian photographer, Heidi Niemala? They have teamed up again for a stunning fashion spread titled “Hunt Country Noir” featured in the Feb/March edition of EQLiving.

Barbour 4 oz. waxed cotton- New
For years I have been wearing the traditional BARBOUR Beadnell Wax Jacket during the colder Pacific Northwest weather, but it is definitely a bit more restrictive compared to my other BARBOUR coats because it is designed for warmth and water repellence during the winter. An exciting new product by this iconic company is their new 4 oz. waxed cotton jacket that includes 4 women's styles to choose from.
My favorite is the Barbour 4 oz. Beadnell. “Translating the iconic Barbour Beadnell look into a new 4oz waxed cotton that's perfect for the milder months, this lightweight women's wax jacket features the signature sit-down collar, handwarmer pockets and lower bellowed pockets. Finished with the iconic Barbour Tartan inner. “ – Barbour.com
4) SUBSCRIBE:  EQLiving
“ The Premier Magazine of Country Living” is the publisher’s tagline for this gorgeous glossy. This is a humble understatement as the content transports readers to the ultimate equestrian inspired lifestyle through home visits, people, design, style, travel & more.
I have been a print subscriber since almost inception and I covet receiving every other month due to its beautifully curated content and stunning photography, (wonderful coffee table magazine), but you can also subscribe for free online.

The "handlebar" analogy: It’s like riding a bike… but not how you think.

June 24, 2018

I have been consciously focusing on a concept explained to me a few years ago by a renowned dressage judge and trainer when she was ventured from the dressage court to our outdoor arena in “hunter land.” She told me to think, “ride with your horse equally between your hands- just like the handle bars of a bike.” It was a total aha moment.
